The Smerkin Merkins
The Smerkin Merkins are a festival band, in every sence a group that is grass routes and heartfelt, twisting the traditional folk musics that both Cheesy their Guitarist/singer and their melodeanist Dickon Taylor grew up playing into a sound influenced by today, rave, punk, reggae, dub, and their friends who they jammed with over our long lives, (were not kiddies) to create this fusion of English folk dance music and "riddems" from Africa, bringing in the influences from their drummer Roopart, plus with electric bass from stourbridges cleverest diy PA creatist Mick, They play " Diddly Dub", tunes, and some traditional song, but played full on and impossibly fast, and in the main, still acoustic usually.
