Babel

Babel like "bay-bull" and not "bar-bell" or "babble".

Daniel Coughlan sings and plays the acoustic guitar, Ben Bird does play bass, Daisy Palmer drums, Martin Lanchester plays the violin & Rick Brown plays the guitars.

Born in Bristol, Babel started out all kind of small, folky and a bit shy but then fell in dirty love with pounding tamborines and volume knobs.

Songs led to concerts, concerts led to the recording two self-financed eps, 'the golden acre ep' & 'the arc ep'. Both were sold from tables in tiny venues. some of which reached places far beyond our own postcode.

So, to pigeon-hole.. some call us 'folk-rock', some say 'folkabilly', we say 'like the record we all wished we owned". an unlikely goal we know but it's ample carrot to our donkey.
