Spiro

spiro are a bristol-based acoustic band who wrap their own intriguing, uplifting and unsettling multi-layered contemporary sound around the bold traditional tunes of northern england. their members came from diverse musical backgrounds to meet amidst the thriving traditional music session scene of the early nineties, and since their formation in 1993 have been performing at venues and festivals across england and abroad

spiro's two albums to date are lost in fishponds (1994 - recorded under their original name the famous five) and pole star (1997)
